Privacy policy

This policy explains how MyCareer.mk DOO (“MyCareer”, “we”) processes personal data when you use the website mycareer.mk and the MyCareer mobile application.

2. Data we collect

Account data: name, email, phone, password (stored hashed), language, user role (job seeker, employer, staff).
Profile data: CV, photo, education, experience, company information, and job listings you publish.
Applications: cover letters, attachments, and application status.
Payments: company details, invoice data, payment method (bank transfer or card), and payment status. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
Google Sign-In: if you sign in with Google, we receive your Google account identifier, name, email address, and profile picture (if you grant them). We do not receive your Google password.
Technical data: IP address, device information, and push-notification tokens.
Support: messages and files you send in tickets.

3. Why we use data

to create and secure your account;
to publish jobs, receive applications, and connect employers with job seekers;
to process payments and issue invoices;
to send service emails and notifications;
to provide support and improve the service;
to comply with North Macedonian law.

Legal bases include performance of a contract, legitimate interests in operating a job platform, consent (for optional Google Sign-In and marketing where used), and legal obligations.

4. Google Sign-In

Google authentication is provided by Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC. Their processing is described in the Google Privacy Policy. You can disconnect Google Sign-In by deleting your MyCareer account or by using Google account permissions.

5. Sharing

We share data only when needed:

hosting and infrastructure providers;
email and SMS delivery;
payment partners for card or bank payments;
Google, if you use Google Sign-In;
authorities if required by law.

Employers see job-seeker data that you submit when you apply. Job seekers see employer profile and listing data.

6. Retention

We keep account and recruitment data while the account is active and for a limited period afterwards where invoices, legal claims, or statutory records require it. You may request deletion as described below.

7. Your rights

Under the Law on Personal Data Protection of North Macedonia and, where applicable, the GDPR, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, and objection. Contact support@mycareer.mk. You may also lodge a complaint with the Agency for Personal Data Protection of North Macedonia.

8. Security

We use access controls, encrypted transport (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and limited staff access. No method of transmission is completely secure.

9. Children

MyCareer is intended for adults seeking or offering employment. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

10. Cookies

The website uses essential cookies for language, session, and the shopping cart. We do not use advertising cookies.

11. Changes

We may update this policy. The current version is always published at https://mycareer.mk/privacy.
